wow...I have not been here in over a year. Well, that's because I prefer LJ...LOL

[Event]Asia Health Forum 2007

Saturday 30 June 2007. My mother and me attended this event on Sat. After registering, we got a goodie bag! It contained various stuff, like essence of chicken, vitamins, a copy of RD June,heck even this heavy-ass hardcover health book which must cost a lot.

All in all, it was very informative. There were talks on diabetes, heart diseases, the eyes, even TM(traditional medicine). It was a little scary to hear about how humans develop these deadly diseases. Most of the speakers also emphasized the importance of not smoking to maintain health. It is because smoking causes and is the source of plenty diseases, most of which could have been avoided.

After attending this talk, I feel that I need to exercise more, cut down on fatty/sugary foods and so on...

[Movie]Transformers

Went to watch this last night!!!
It has a lot of hilarious moments XDDD
I'd thought it'd be a dark, depressive movie due to the dark trailer...I was pleasantly surprised.

The mecha designs is brillant; the transforming scenes, with all the click-whirr, looks pretty slick too.

我小学时，对华文的兴趣开始下降。我不太清楚这是为设么; 可能是应为我开始喜欢读英文书吧...

然后，华文退步了，所以就去上补习班~。

中学华文当然比较难， 所以我成绩不太好。

When I was in primary school, I began to dislike studying Chinese a lot. And thus, my grades plummeted all the way down. Perhaps it was the teacher, or the environment? I dunno, my interest dropped. It was also around this time that I started reading english fiction books obsessively, so that could be a reason too.

[Anime][Saiunkoku Monogatari][Season 1][under construction]

This anime is based on a series of novels by Yukino Sai.
Here is the summary of SaiMono from its wiki page:

The story, which takes place in the fictional medieval empire of Saiunkoku, follows the adventures of Shuurei Kou, a descendent of a noble family that has fallen on hard times. Her father serves as librarian in the Imperial palace, a post which offers prestige and respect but little compensation. Shuurei teaches in the temple school and works odd jobs to make ends meet, but her dream is to pass the imperial examinations and take a post in government, a path forbidden to women. Shuurei's plans come to an abrupt halt when the Emperor's Grand Advisor makes a startling offer: join the imperial household for six months as the young Emperor's consort, and teach the Emperor to be a responsible ruler. If she succeeds, the financial reward will be great. The story details Shuurei's growing relationships with the Emperor and other members of the court, the intrigues that surround imperial politics, and Shuurei's commitment to better herself and her country.

[Anime] [Digimon Savers]

At first, I thought it was kinda Power Rangers-esque, as a lot of the early episodes were monsters-of-the-week. Then, Ikuto & Falcomon came into the picture, and everything went uphill from there. (^_^) The plot and character development(esp. Ikuto) were awesome, and I really enjoyed myself with this series.

It ended just last week at 48 episodes. I was laughing and crying at the end.(;_;) Masaru's parents are so understanding; they actually allowed him to go to the Digital World for an undetermined period of time!?

It really was an enjoyable ride this past year watching Savers. It has quickly become one of my top 10 anime.

New Blog.

So, this is my introductory post on my new blog, The Sun and The Moon.

A little about myself; I am 18 this year. I love reading,surfing the internet and watching anime. I recently discovered a love for languages too, currently self-studying Japanese.

What plans do I have for this blog? Well, since I already have a personal blog over at LJ, I will use this one for book reviews, study lessons, anime reviews, etc. ^_^

Why is it called 'The Sun and The Moon'? It is because I will be talking about many things under the sun and the moon! Well, except for my personal life, which I'm blogging at LJ.
